By using Hyperite 0-16 mm as a base for 11-16 black Hyperite, you avoid mixing.

If you are laying a driveway where you want black Hyperite granite chips, use the black granite subbase at the bottom instead of regular subbase. This way, you avoid problems with mixing when winter frost causes the stones in the subbase to work their way up through the top layer.
